There are a lot of school in our area alone that offer strong nursing programs. Some of those school are Clarkson, Creighton, UNMC, and UNO. I choose Clarkson College as the school to research more information on. The cost for a graduate for 1 year is $8,000 and the cost for an undergraduate for 1 year is $11,500. This school is located in Omaha Nebraska. The cost of living in this area is the same cost of living as the smaller cities like Papillion except the rent for apartments are a little cheaper. In order to become a nurse you do the BSN program which is 4 years long, and then you take the NCLEX-RN exam, and if you want to be a Developmental Disability Nurse you'd then have to spend 2 years in working with developmental disabilities and then take the Developmental Disabilities exam and then start working. I intend on paying for my education by financial aide, scholarships, myself, and help from relatives.
